Suzzane, Debbie, Denise, Nita
Suzzane is having a birthday tomorrow - Friday - I just made her a special cake with tons of strawberries and chocolate. Michele told me that was her favorite!! Suzzane is one of our favorite pirates!! She smiles from the inside out!!Suzzane is the neighbor of Hugo and he told her about our group. Actually we were getting ready for the Mardi Gras Parade - and she came over to learn a silly parade dance and we went over details about the parade. It was so funny. Just her and Adele showed up to practice and we video taped the dance (in case anyone else wants to join, no one did, ha ha) and we did the parade. The great PirateHeart group (ha ha) of 6 adults and 2 kids holding our own, walking down some strange street in the middle of Bishop Arts. A street I had only been on once in my life - dancing and being goofy in the middle of some crazy parade with my new friend Suzzane!
By herself, Suzzane just showed up!! It was the coolest thing, we had never met her before ever. A true pirate could only do that, be that brave!- And Suzzane is a strong Christian Godly girl as well- ready for anything - never judgmental - and open, fun / loving like most of the women in our group. We all know for sure with prayer and God in your forefront we can do anything and be anything, never perfect but in the end we will be snapped into shape of some sort!! A shape that is constantly changing like the wind on a sail. Our destination is all the same - so it is truly the journey!! And we all know that the journey can be scary - and we just get stuck sometimes.
We must continue to be brave, like Suzzane was when she came over to my house and get out of our Southlake/Grapevine snow globes and crush all that glass of righteousness and fear in order to be true to ourselves, a true pirate so to speak no matter what. We must not let our age and our experiences crush that curious zestful spirit and life we are all born with.
Piratehearts is about positive relationships and support and dancing and doing stuff, like in 2007 on that ski boat. And we pray hard to move on quickly from situations that sometimes happen and sail forward!!
So happy birthday Suzzane!! So very glad to know you. May this year be the best one ever!!! Thanks for being a part!!
